Assembly by who? Keep in mind disassembling and reassembling will be a huge PITA compared to doing it right the first time.

I got a used green mountain grill, Daniel Boone model for $150. It's been great. I know Traeger is the OG, though I've heard that quality has decreased from when they first were made. The guy I bought my GMG from had upgrade to a recteq because it's supposed to be more accurate at holding temp steady. Anybody have experience with this model? How does it compare to the competition at similar price point?

More money but not terrible. A bag for $9 bucks lasts like 24 hours cook time? Maybe a little more now that I think about it.

Kinda small. Pellet grills are amazing for long cooks and/or low&slow cooks - it is my second most used grill - incredible convenience - just load the food and it will do the rest. Keep in mind that it cannot produce enough heat to sear the steak.

In for 1! My coworker has one of these and he's been incredibly impressed. He said it's a little bit of a pain to clean and the temperature isn't super consistent under 200F, but he uses it all the time and said he has no plans of upgrading Smilie

Had the Pro22 a few years ago, sold and bought the 575 for $540 at HD. They didn't have 1 put together, so I took the box and assembled in my family room. I did need assistance rolling over to complete. What a difference between the 2, the 575 is slightly larger, but the wifi option is amazing!!! You can adjust the temp from the phone, to me worth the extra $. Pellets will vary on temp and cook time, 20# bag works out to about 1# per hour for me.

I have the Lil Tex Elite, which seems to be an older variation of this model (no wifi), I bought it 6+ years ago and it is still going strong. I bought it because I wasn't sure if I would get into smoking, but I love it. That said, it does have temperature swings when you are below 300 degrees, I'm talking +/- 45 degrees each way, that don't give as consistent of a smoking experience as some of the other smokers out there. I probably clean it out less than quarterly, its generally easy to clean, I have had to replace the internal thermoemter a few times (really easy to do, about a 5 - 10 minute job now), but I'm not sure if that is because its 6+ years old or because of a few flare ups I've had (that were my fault).

TLDR; I plan to invest more money into my next smoker, but this is a good intro smoker for anyone interested, IMO.

Bought mine similar timeframe, and think its the same one. I clean mine every 2-3 cooks. I don't have those swings.
