Anyone know what size that 2 pack of tarps they sell at Costco in the warehouses is? Wanted to compare before buying tis one.

I was thinking of grabbing the Costco ones other day, I think it was about $17 something for the 2 pack. I can't remember the size or if it was "heavy duty" or "medium duty".

Costco has 2 different 2 packs.

12x16 and 16x20.

It depends on the region. Business Costcos might have different sizes.

Thanks for the info. Will probably just pick up the Costco 2-pack next time I'm there.

Some of the product reviews show the same thing. I'm the OP. I posted this deal and I'm not sure I would buy these for my use. I would go for something that's more heavy duty. But for anyone looking for a vapor barrier under their tent, this should be fine.

Why does one need a vapor barrier, or anything under their tent for that matter? Asking for my own education. I've been doing all types of camping for decades, from car camping to Riverside gravel bars, to ultralight backpacking all over the country and stopped using footprints in the '90s. I have not had any issues with moisture or tent damage or anything.

It provides extra protection if it rains or the ground is wet at all. Some tents have a decent floor but many will let water leak through so a tarp really helps.

I have heard this but never seen water actually come through the floor of any tent. The seams yes, but not the floor itself. And I have been on wet ground and in downpours in tents ranging from ultralight silnylon and dyneema to Coleman and Ozark trail car camping tents to cheap Chinese backpacking tents. And if you are in a situation where the ground is flooding, the water will get between your ground tarp and tent floor anyways. The only logical reason for a ground sheet is to keep dirt off the bottom of your tent and that's just not worth the effort. Just my experience! Try forgoing the ground sheet!
