Price tracking shows this is the going price for a while now. If you want to pick up from a B&M store, or really want this HX i7, then fine - but if you're looking for a deal on a Legion 5, watch Lenovo's Outlet. They frequently have these (at least in the 'Slim' variant, which is not all that slim and I believe shares a chassis/form factor with this unit anyway) around this price but with 4060 or 4070 GPUs. Sometimes refurbished, sometimes 'New'. https://www.lenovo.com/us/outletu...8%3ALegion

Guess you'll have to OC the GPU and hope for 4060 performance laugh out loud

But doesn't the HX kill the HS line from AMD?? Seems like a massive downgrade.

Massive upgrade in terms of battery life.

I'm no expert, but I don't see an HS CPU being the bottleneck when you're working with a 4050 or 4060? Even 4070? 🤷 ♂️ I was actually specifically looking for non-HX processors because when I'm not gaming, I want to actually be able to use the laptop as a laptop for more than 10 minutes, and when I am, I don't see a 7XXX or 8XXX holding me back. YMMV. I actually just ordered a Ryzen 7 8845HS, 4070, 32GB RAM, 500 nits 240 Hz screen, New Legion 5 Slim from the outlet for <$900, so with this deal you're paying $100 more, for a maybe faster processor and a significantly worse GPU, screen, battery life, half RAM, etc. Yes, I got lucky (which was just checking outlet stock every morning for about a week and a half), and that specific unit isn't available now, but I can't see going with this HX/4050 over HS/4070, for me, at least.

Also a chance of the HX being silently part of the 13/14th gen Intel over-voltage issues, depending on who you believe on Reddit. (Again, 🤷 ♂️)
