Deal Details
Beginning MONDAY August 26, Subway will sell any footlong sandwich for $6.99 — a steep discount considering that some footlongs can cost as much as $14 in some cities. It's the privately held chain's latest attempt at luring back customers who are balking at rising fast food prices and spending less when they do go out.

The deal has a catch: The offer is only available via its app or website with the code "699FL" and ends on September 8.

When they removed the bmt from the classic menu, and added extra cheese and raised the price, I was out. Jimmy John's, jersey Mike's and potbelly are all better subs.
Jersey, potbelly, firehouse agreed. Jimmy johns is the blandest sandwich I've ever had in my life

In the Sacramento, CA area, I order from random subways depending on where my kids are playing soccer that weekend or whatever, and when using coupons like this or the FLBOGO, I find about half the stores will just cancel my app order. They also don't answer the phone to confirm why, but I suspect they have no choice but to accept the coupon but they would rather cancel the order than make a sandwich for that price. When I am done with the gift cards I got from Costco a while back, I think that will be the end of the subway ordering for us for a while as it is annoying to have to order multiple times just to get a sandwich made.

If my local subway is consistent, their cheap ass will not be a "participating store"

r/Subway keeps an updated list of monthly coupons. For the past few years there's always been deals on two or three footlongs. Currently FL1299 gets you two for $12.99

I just paid $26.14 for two soda bottles and two foot longs yesterday. The girl got confused I wanted the cheese exactly like how the predefined sandwich was like. She also put Mayo on it when I explicitly asked for chipotle.

Read that they based this new price 1/2 off their high priced sandwich. Would roast beef the highest priced sandwich?

They've gone through and removed several of the classics, renamed them, and turned them into $12 subs. Subway has lost their mind.

Some of us only have Subway as an option for sandwiches, or the grocery store.

Like someone else said, Subway priced themselves into a better sub category without providing a better product.
They sometimes have promotions, but it seems like at least half of the locations refuse to participate.

If I'm going to get a sub I'd rather just go to Jersey Mikes or Firehouse.
Yes, they're pricey, but at least you know you're getting a good sandwich.
Of course if you live in the Southeast, there's nothing that beats a Publix sub!
then you pay more for a little more. Everywhere I go the portion is smaller and price higher, no need to bash like y'all surprised. Same thing happened around the world at every restaurant, everyone is seeing inflation.
