I bought two of these on Amazon earlier, both failed within 2 weeks. It's a total trash.

I replaced them with Jetson and they are still ok

This. I got the last one at mine for $49 and I thought that was pretty slick. These smell just like many car parts manufacturered in china. I'd wipe it down with a cleaning wipe, and be sure to get the center where it pivots. I don't know, but I have been told it smells like 'skunk' plant. I tried airing it out for 3 days outside and it still has the smell, but at least the garage no longer reeks of it if it's inside for more than a few hours. I tried airing out the box and packing too (keeping in case a return is needed) but that seems to always retain the smell all over. Luckily you can pack it up, close the box, and that keeps the smell from emanating at all.

To clarify this is not the new rubber tire smell. The tires did have that, but it is much more preferable to the other smell. It can still be smelled right from the center.

Great advice here. The smell coming off these is horrible. Got one of these recently and I can't believe they would sell something like this.

I had one of these, looked identical but had a different brand. It broke less than 3 months. it stopped charging.
