All Cuckoo are from Korea. The Korean consumer market tends to be halfway between the US and Japan or EU. You get better safety standards and people who care about their wares compared to US. But they also sometimes cut corners compared to Japan. Industry stamps and certificates are a joke; what matters more is company reputation. You think all the ROHS stamped products coming out of China are for real? Anyway, we're not in the EU; such ROHS stamps are a joke in the US. I'd trust a Korean-made product one hundred times over an American product and ten thousands times over a Chinese product.

I usually don't use the pressure mode in mine but when I do, it tends to cook faster and softer. It's definitely good to use for harder-to-cook varieties of grains. I cannot tell if the model in the deal has the ability to switch between pressure and non-pressure but in mine, you do it by rotating the ring at the top of the lid. The light changes from blue to orange to indicate pressure cooking.

I've been eating rice my whole life, and we usually just throw the leftovers in the fridge.
I've also never had a big enough family to regularly have a 10 cup machine, and always figured these things were for restaurants and big families.
But if you're keeping rice warm over several days, I can see where several cups is easier to go through
All of my rice cookers have been glass tops, including my current zojirushi, which is really nice
any idea why Zujirushi has so many vocal fans, I was searching on Reddit and everyone
was "buy Japan-made Zujirushi and ignore other brands" (or China made Zujirushis)
