I know that there's a train of thought about how all glasses are made by the same parent company Luxottica, but I have to say that my Wayfarers have lasted forever.

In fact the pair that I have in my car right now originally had a soft, satin like finish that after a few years was starting to wear off (probably the Texas heat didn't help and softened it up). I scratched all that off and now they look like a brand new pair of regular Wayfarers. Hinges are tight, lenses don't pop out. If I lost them I would buy a new pair immediately.
