Yeah, I'm too active at work especially to wear 100% cotton boxer briefs - all cotton means I'm rarely completely dry. The best option for me is a cotton/modal blend. The best Hanes model is cotton/modal, not sure exactly what they call them because they've changed names a bunch. They're even softer than plain cotton, durable, and wick and dry more efficiently. Other brands offer modal or micro modal but can get pretty expensive.

I know I'm picky about this but I know what I like. I also wear wool blend socks most of the time at work. Even in the summer they keep my feet drier than anything else, they last a long time, are highly resistant to odor-causing bacteria, and are absolutely worth the cost, to me. Shirts are a different story, as I think polyester t-shirts and undershirts are the way to go because cotton never seems to dry if you sweat, although cotton is wonderful if you won't be doing anything strenuous. I've got poly athletic t's that are close to ten years old and still perform well under polos.

I know it's trendy to hate on non-cotton/wool here but you probably don't want it to be 100% cotton. The wife likes the look of the 60/40 blends. Cotton doesn't have good elastic qualities so they don't fit as contouring especially after a few washes. Also, 100% cotton can also be pretty stuffy in hot/humid weather.

I've never tried their modal blend and was pleasantly surprised to see this ugly pair in my size. $2.09 after coupon.

I would say that polyester and modal are two very different fabrics. Modal breathes much better than polyester.

As to the boxers you were referring to, would it be the Hanes Ultimate Comfort Flex Fit Men's Boxer Brief?

https://www.hanes.com/hanes-ultim...fbbb4.html

Or the Comfort Flex Fit Ultra Soft Cotton Modal Blend Boxer Brief?

I'm very aware of the differences in fabrics, which is why I like them for different uses. If I found modal shirts I'd try them, but Gildan and adidas t-shirts do what I want and can be found for pretty cheap. The poly underwear I've tried kind of rubs me the wrong way, and gives me a Derrick Lewis-like condition.

The first one you link to is the better product - softer and a slightly stretchier fit, with a more comfortable waistband. The second style is okay too, but they fit a little differently and have quite the same feel, in my opinion. The fabric content they list is the same by percentage but they seem different to me. Hanes seems to change things up a lot so I was afraid they replaced the first one with the second, but it looks both are still available.

I've also had modal boxer briefs from Calvin Klein, Caribbean Joe, and a couple other brands. The Hanes Ultimate Comfort are still my favorite and one of the cheaper and more available modal-blend options. I've seen rayon too, which might be similar, but I haven't tried any.

Not sure if it is the same but I ordered the light blue Jockey boxer briefs. Material feels so cheap.
