what does it mean it takes one size drive for one capacity versus another ? (1TB M.2 2242 SSD or 512GB M.2 2280 SSD)?

Picked this up today. Discount is a bit deceptive as normal prices is about $399 with best recent deals being $349. So still a decent deal but not quite as big as they're claiming

N41. Thx, OP. This is great momputer. Mom's still using the 10 yr old Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 I gave her. This'll be a quantum computer to her!

Decent deal but just know the Flex series was the original "broken hinge" laptops that gave Lenovo a bad name (even though it seems to plague almost every brand).

Typing from this exact model that I paid $200 refurb 1 yr ago. Best $200 laptop purchase in my life. Also purchased the Lenovo (active) pen for less than $15.

Obviously, not a high-end spec. But it can handle web surfing, office work easily. It's correct that this series had hinge design flaw. I rarely use this in tablet mode. A bit heavy for tablet use anyway.

8gb is barely enough for windows 10 let alone 11. And with more of the ai stuff coming out in the future, this laptop will barely be able to open chrome with 3 tabs

My moms laptop is an older dell latitude 7390 2 in 1 and it's probably a nicer quality laptop than this and it's also same deal, 8gb soldered ram. But that's 2017. Touch screen foldable too and it's basically useless with 3 tabs, email app, zoom and Adobe reader open

Not true this has a second RAM slot. Was able to add an additional 32gb stick with no issues. Have a second one with an additional 16gb I'm using as a plex server, again no issues.

Can't be the same model. LPDDR4x is by definition soldered to the motherboard. And I doubt a laptop in this price range would support 40GB of ram (you said you added 32GB to existing 8GB). Not trying to pick a fight, but you're misleading people who might not know better.

Note that all versions of LPDDR4x are BGA (Ball Grid Array), which simply means surface mounted (soldered) to the motherboard.
