very good entry level sub for a smaller room.

The 10E hasn't been independently tested. I called RSL and results from a third party reviewer should be released soon though.

Here are most of the subwoofer test results all in one spreadsheet:

I was waiting for the 10E results when I found the used PB-1000 Pro for $180.

Yes if you have no preference and budget is a main concern, those RSL subs would probably be a good fit.

For those speakers that's probably a good way to go.
Keep in mind if it's not, you flip the cost of returning it.

Thanks. What are people's thoughts... RSL vs Monolith?

IMO avoid monolith like the plague. Numerous batches of subs have had high rates of returns. Last year my 2x 13s had to be replaced 4 times before I gave up and fought for a refund.
I'm not the only one, do a few searches for it and you'll see tons of reports of the same.

Between this and several pieces of early monolith gear completely dying after 2-3 years I've given up on monoprice entirely for audio equipment.

EDIT: I ended up going with HSU Research, slightly more expensive but has been 100% worth it. No issues at all and much more closely matched in volume with the same settings vs monolith

Having experience with both, Monolith will dig/hit deeper but it's less articulate/accurate,bigger footprint & cost more.
Their CS isn't very good either so you have to hope you get lucky with them.

If I had to choose between the two I would probably go with 12 RSL.

Keep in mind this is all completely a preference choice, you can't go wrong with either.

I'd get the cheaper rsl out of those. But, I'd get the klipsch rp when it's on sale over that.(rp1400 has been $700).

I have a monolith 12 and have had zero issues but I paid $700 not the $1k they are now.

I have many SVS subs and the best one vs price are the non pro PB1000 which they stopped making unfortunately. They spend a fortune now on marketing which has made their subs irrelevant to me.
seems like a lot of people prefer the ported over sealed. I got the SB 1000 Pro which is cheaper and smaller. Some people really care about the size

Good brand, but tired of their "blow out" sales. There is no value to find

Thanks for pointing this out!

I'm glad I went with a PB-1000 Pro over the 10E which has a non-flat response, a -3dB point at only 30Hz, and almost nothing below 20Hz EEK!
