Yes, Linksys LN1301 is a terrific router with 2 GB RAM and 1 GB of flash. Insane! I thought my Netgear R7800 with 512 MB RAM is pretty good until the specs on LN301 blows the R7800 out of the water and is a tri-band router as well!

With wireless mesh (instructions below), it's one heck of a deal and blows DECO AX5000 deal out of the water, imho.

EDIT: UPDATED instructions for enabling MESH (thanks to @rbtcordell for the original source):

1-Setup your Main router completely.

2-Plug your child node using the wan port to the main router lan port, wait for a solid purple light on the child node before proceeding

3-Log into your main router web admin.

4-Click on CA at the bottom right.

5-Click on Connectivity and CA Router setup.

6-Click on both Add Wired and Add Wireless nodes buttons. Wait for the Add wireless button to re-enable.

7-Click Done adding Child Nodes and then Apply.

8-Now the child node light should start flashing purple and turn into a mesh mode when it turns blue.

9-Disconnect Ethernet and wait for blue light again.

10-Move node to desired location.

set it as an Access Point.
1. Disable DHCP (optional)
2. Set the device to Bridge Mode under Connectivity tab
3. Connect cable from your router to a LAN port.
4. Get some nail polished and a round sticker to cover the annoying flashing right light.
5. Click the 'AC' at the bottom of the page to see the detail configurations of wifi.

Do you have to hit the "Add Wireless" button if child node will stay wired?
It doesn't hurt to hit the "Add Wireless" button, imo, even if it's going to be wired all the time. All we are doing is enabling Bridge mode. If you disconnect the node from the main router, then then the wireless mesh will get engaged.

If you have Spectrum they are now 600 down for the 500 plan
You sir are correct. I just checked the app and it indeed says up to 600mbps. So then along the same train of thought, is it relatively normal to say go up to 100 mbps over my cap? So in this instance i have 600mbps so up to 700mbps is standard?

Sometimes I wonder if I really even need all this mbps, I feel like my download speed doesn't improve linearly. If i had 150 mbps internet instead of 600mbps would it literally be 1/4th as quick? or as you get towards a gig and over does it get harder to notice anything improved?

Nvm followed the instructions again and it seemed to work with default settings. Will try with my own SSID another time

Yes, you can change the Channel but you have to click the CA link at the footer on the page. Once CA link is clicked, you will see options to channels for 2.4 + 5 GHz bands.I set mine to 6 for 2.4 GHz and 44 and 153 for the lower and higher 5 GHz bands respectively.
Thank you! I didn't realize it was there.

What is the easiest way to test this without taking my main Parent node down on my mesh?

Does the stock firmware have any updates, or is it 'one and done' firmware version to rebadge these and get them out the door?

It was so easy to set up the main router and add 2nd one as mesh in the first attempt following the instructions. The speed and coverage is so much better than my older TP-Link Archer A7 AC1750. Converted the Archer A7 into an access point/switch and disabled wifi on it since it had some wired connection and left the existing wired setup as is. Basically, I added the main router between ISP and the existing Archer A7. Setup was a breeze, can't wait for the 3rd one to get delivered. Thank OP and whoever provided the mesh instructions.

Is it better to turn OFF the 2nd 5GHz band off, or is it used for backhaul or something. Just wondering if having 2nd 5Ghz band ON on all 3 nodes will create unnecessary interference?

If this is the case, is there any other way to get the tracking information without UPS MyChoice? Perhaps through some reference number or something?
I have the product shipped to a package forwarder, so it doesn't let me enrol for MyChoice.

The two 5ghz radios operate on a different set of non-overlapping channels. One band operates at higher 5ghz and the other lower. No need to worry about interference.

Surprisingly, my really old AC1900 WiFi5 adapter connects at 1.3gbps to this router and gives me 200mbps better actual speeds than my new AX210 adapter. I thought the AC1900 was proprietary stuff to Broadcom, but it appears to still be able to utilize all 3 streams when connected to this router's 5Ghz high bands.
