Came hear to say a cell phone companies want to charge $100 for 128GB upgrade. I'm still using my Galaxy s20 for the simple fact of a deal like this
Buying SD cards from Amazon is a crapshoot. Twice I've been sent counterfeit Samsung cards. I now only buy from Samsung direct or Best Buy.

How reliable is this vs the regular cards. My regular 256 Samsung kept messing up and losing data.

I use these when I kayak fish. They're literally running 6 hours at a time in a GoPro that's on the edge of overheating the entire time. I haven't had one of these fail yet, and the reader they come with is the fastest I've used. I consistently get 160 megabytes per second. I have three GoPros hero11 and now 12 going at a time and with three of these readers each in different USB port on my desktop I can transfer all of the data quickly where each one will be transferring at 160 MB a second.. so long as your nvme drive can take it.

older phones like the s20, that makes sense. but for newer iphones, galaxy s, and pixel phones, the storage speed is above 1000 MB/s, fast enough to be usable as ram. it sorta makes sense that the companies charge an abnormal amount for a storage upgrade, although it seems they take it a bit too far
