Some people complain that it doesn't beep but I can't hear the beeps anyway in industrial settings. I have used other NCVT makes and models, but they always turn themselves on in my bag or toolbag and the battery is dead when I need to use it. The one in this deal is the best.
It only works on 90-1000VAC, it cannot do DC or lower AC voltages.

"With the 1AC I was able to easily sort out which wires were live inside of a cabinet, but with the 2AC, it lights up within up to multiple feet of the connection (making it useless if you have multiple potentially live connections close by.
For very spread out connections it'll do what you want, but the description is extremely misleading-- the fact that it's so completely different from the 'old' 1AC model is crazy."
The only time mine has turned on from feet away has been near ignition transformers, which are in the 1000s of volts.
If I were that reviewer, I would return it under warranty. As described, it sounds defective.
