Not saying that this subscription is worthless right now, but be aware of this when making decision.

If you do subscribe just be aware that they won't give you any heads up when the subscription is about to renew. They'll just charge you the full $36 and then let you know about it afterward. Set yourself a reminder or cancel early and use until sub ends.

I just tried, in the app. It wouldn't accept EXPLORENOW after I clicked the REDEEM CODE button. But it did show my GooglePlay balance, which was insufficient for the regular price & would've been sufficient for the half price 😖

Assuming you bought directly from them, you can login to your account and turn off auto-renewal.

try to use this app first free version, it was quite cumbersome for me. So even if you hike, doesn't mean you'll like it

I just got the $17.99 deal.. after I subscribed, I immediately went in and turn off auto renewal so I don't have to think about it later. It won't affect your current sub. It says my current is valid until 8/28/2025. Too bad it turns on auto renewal without your knowledge once you pay.

Yes, via the play store using mostly Google credits. You could turn off the recurring payment at that time as well.

The free version is definitely worth trying out. I've discovered so many amazing trails that I never would have been able to find just doing a general search online. At this price, getting the paid version is tempting. But the free version is a no-brainer to download

For those saying it allows you to download offline maps, I've never really found that useful or worth paying for. If you open whatever trail you are planning to hike before getting to the location, even if you lose service, the GPS will continue to function more than well enough and you can keep using the map you have pulled up. Just hit start when you're at the trailhead and the app functions like normal, regardless of service.

I've been on a few trails that has multiple routes. This app is pretty good, some GPS maps aren't updated nor show the trail. This app seems to be updated.

I have a subscription that just expired. I'm trying to renew with this deal, and use Google rewards credit. When I open the app via Google play, there is a banner inside play, that says "limited time, take 50% off plus". But when I click thru it's only giving me a 30% discount. Are you seeing this

I hike a lot by myself and I find their friend tracking is definitely worth it. I start a hike it lets them know & lets my family/friend know where I am if something goes wrong or I'm late and they can see on the map where I am.
