Total by Verizon is probably the worst Telco I've ever dealt with. They never honored the deal I signed up for, I had major dramas just porting my number in, their support is worse than helpless and will typically just hang up on you, etc. Avoid this company like the plague.
In reality, NO, they cannot. So in your mind you might be thinking, let me try and see if I can port in from, let's say "AT&T" and take advantage of this $15.00/mo deal by just using the promo code: BYEBYETMO or whatever promo code they're pimping to get customers in on the $15/mo special offer. Once you use that code and port in your number, it's a sold, done deal! You've now got yourself a 5 year $15/mo cell phone plan with Unlimited data.

The drop down that asks what company you are porting in from is for marketing/data purposes only and has no bearing on them knowing what company your phone number or account number belong to. The WLNP or Porting system is a national system that will automatically route the request to the losing carrier. Verizon, Visible or Total or any carrier will have no way of knowing that, until they receive the data/report that they will run off of the WLNP port system for their board meetings or press releases that they can brag about. By that time, it'll to way past the end date of the promo and they're really not going to snatch you off the plan, because it'll be a nightmare!
Verizon finally is no longer sitting back watching the small time player beat up on their big team. They will definitely be taking a lot of cost conscious customers back that they lost over the past few years with this one. Holiday season is right around the corner, too.
I suspect that that once they hit a home run with this one, they'll launch a new promo to get the $15 customers to bump up by $5 or so to the next tier, Just like T-Mobile did when they started uncarrier.

Those who made two separate orders (one esim and one psim), how are planning to approach the CS if the promotion did not get applied automatically? Don't want to miss the promotion after this much of leg work done on this
Don't understand why people are contacting FCC and filing all these complaints. I believe wait for few days, they will make it all work from next month. My account started same way and now seems good, waiting for one psim in the mail and Hopefully that gets resolved in few days after activation too. I also used a referral code from someone here to get extra 7k pts. PM me for a code next.

Once I receive my two physical sims tomorrow and activate them on sim phones, I can then switch the device to an iPhone 14 that uses eSIM correct?

So my current monthly Ultra Mobile plan ends this Sunday at 11:59pm. The sims are scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Will the ports be OK to do over the weekend and it should be finished within minutes? Usually ports I've done take no more than 15 minutes to complete. I have my account numbers and PINs ready to go.

You should be fine but I will still play safe and initiate the port tomorrow once you receive sim cards.

I received the simcards today. But no idea how to proceed with activation. Chat with rep was not useful. She couldnt even lookup the order. Says we don't have the tools to do that. lol.
Now waiting for a call back from the rep from the appropriate department.

One of the worst companies I had to deal with. Promo and the connection is great, thanks to Verizon infratstructure. But the company is worst. First they did not allow using esims even for my Galaxy S24 Ultra, one of the latest phones on the market with two esims. Then they did not ship them. I used esim method to activate three phone, could not activate the fourth one due to error their system gave to me. Even for those that I could activate I had to spend hours on the line with CSR. For the fourth one one CSR told me it won't be problem because it is the 4th line on the account so will be $15 anyways. I portin that number separetly to avoid problems in the account and they could not activate the line even though they ported in. I could not use the phone at Mint and not use it at TW. I spent another 4 hours with 4 different managers to resolve the problem. Eventually it worked. I brought the line to my account. While turning on autopay, it showed $60 for all 4 line and paid only $60. Now it shows $55 for the additional line. Every time I spent half day to solve these problems. What is amazing is their reps also spent days and hours to solve these problems. I don't see what they benefit from keeping their systems so inflexible. Only upside is I could reach to their CSR almost immediately every time I called them.

Also since I ordered esims when they could not ship psims for more than a week, I wanted to cancel the order which was not shipped at the time. They said even though they are not able to ship the item, they have no way to cancel the order. Only way is to reject the shipment.

In summary worst carrier I had to deal with. Hope their service will work without problems and I will not have to deal with them ever again.

Start by logging on to your account and click Activate on the web page.

It will prompt you to complete porting in one line.

Then repeat for each line.

Do all psim phones first.

For esim phones, first port onto an spare psim phone.

That is the start......

My S24Ultra is using eSim on TW. When you enter you IMEI, it will ask you if you want to activate using Psim or Esim. Are you sure you used the right IMEI? There are 2 on the S24U.

They are holding steady refusing to refund an extra $25 they billed me for the first month.

Amex had to chargeback.
