Total by Verizon is probably the worst Telco I've ever dealt with. They never honored the deal I signed up for, I had major dramas just porting my number in, their support is worse than helpless and will typically just hang up on you, etc. Avoid this company like the plague.
In reality, NO, they cannot. So in your mind you might be thinking, let me try and see if I can port in from, let's say "AT&T" and take advantage of this $15.00/mo deal by just using the promo code: BYEBYETMO or whatever promo code they're pimping to get customers in on the $15/mo special offer. Once you use that code and port in your number, it's a sold, done deal! You've now got yourself a 5 year $15/mo cell phone plan with Unlimited data.

The drop down that asks what company you are porting in from is for marketing/data purposes only and has no bearing on them knowing what company your phone number or account number belong to. The WLNP or Porting system is a national system that will automatically route the request to the losing carrier. Verizon, Visible or Total or any carrier will have no way of knowing that, until they receive the data/report that they will run off of the WLNP port system for their board meetings or press releases that they can brag about. By that time, it'll to way past the end date of the promo and they're really not going to snatch you off the plan, because it'll be a nightmare!
Verizon finally is no longer sitting back watching the small time player beat up on their big team. They will definitely be taking a lot of cost conscious customers back that they lost over the past few years with this one. Holiday season is right around the corner, too.
I suspect that that once they hit a home run with this one, they'll launch a new promo to get the $15 customers to bump up by $5 or so to the next tier, Just like T-Mobile did when they started uncarrier.

I received the pSim today.
Do I need to activate it? I ordered this last Friday (Before 9/30/2024), but many people have issues and have denied applying for promotion (not honored).
Of course, during the ordering process, I only paid $32 (for 2 lines).
But it doesn't guarantee the promotion. I don't want to waste my time w/ poor their CSR.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I am in the same situation. Ordered on 09/24 and SIM cards will arrive today. Where did you find the information about denial?

If you ordered the sims before the promo ended and you paid the correct price during checkout, then you're free to activate them as planned. If the promo doesn't reflect right after activation, give it a few days for it to reflect. Some has suggested activating auto-refill and toggling it on and off to "Update" the system. You can try that if you feel like it, but otherwise let the system update on its own. Worst case, you can open a ticket for them to fix it.

Yes, you can use reward points towards your plan, but you have to redeem it the right way. Don't redeem the points for $ off phone purchases. Make sure its "Free plan refill"

Yeah I know for their regular service plan you can pay with reward points. The way was to choose the service plan in their plan list first then choose pay with reward points. But for this specific promo, I believe there is no $15 plan corresponding to this promo plan in the plan list, so I am wondering how you use reward points towards this promo plan.

If you go to the rewards section and locate the redeem section, does it not list your plan and the amount of points required to redeem for it? It shows on my end as such.

I only had phones with eSIM so far, so what you saying not possible. Could this be the line for which I was waiting for pSim? (Other lines I did eSIM and my account shows all correct info and $15 each) I got the pSim now and looking for steps to activate, should I contact customer service to activate?

I did. I did the $15/line promo and ordered 4 lines. I did this when the promo first launched. At the time of sign up, I checked out with 4 SIMs. When i received the Psims, I activated my S24U 1st. At the time of initial activation, it asked me if I wanted Psim or Esim. From what I had read, I went with Psim first. Then after a couple days, I switched the S24U from Psim over to Esim.
The Psim's you order would have had the promo account attached when checking out. So I believe that if you checked out with the Psims with the code attached, the promo would have worked, even after 9/30.
Maybe I was not very clear, when I wrote that it did not work the second time. What I meant was I could activate the esim on my S24 Ultra by first activating the line on an iPhone 14 Plus and moving the line to S24 Ultra by calling TW suppot. Then I tried to activate another line on iPhone 14 Plus to move it to an iPhone 12 and this one did not work. Also another unlocked iPhone 14 Plus did not work either for no reason. Their system said it was not compatible.
Yeah I could have waited for psims, activate them move them to esims etc. But at that time I had easily spent 8-10 hours on the line with TW support to do all this. There is a limit you can bear these waitings. In one of the issues I encountered I had to spent hours with 4 different managers and only the fourth could solve the problem. So I gave up and ended up activating 3 lines instead of 4th. Also one CSR promised me that my fourth line would be charged $15/month anyways since it is the fourth line in my account. I knew there is no value to such a promise from a CSR but I was too tired to not beleive it at that point Smilie. Eventually I still moved the fourth line to TW from Mint, outside of this promo and it is charged $15 when I turned on autorenew but now autorenew shows $55/month for it, as if it is a standalone line even though it is the 4th line in the account. I will move it to another carrier when the plan expires.
I guess the rule of "you get what you pay for" does not change. As it is said you can only pick two out of price, quality and time. In reality it is a fractional combination of these three. And so far I had to give too much of my time for this deal.

Sounds like the 14 was still tied to your account, which is why you couldn't do it again. In that case, you would have needed to contact support to have them remove the IMEI.
As for the 4th line, it's true. For the $15/mo promo, it still follows the scale of reduced price for each line. After the 3rd line, each additional line is $15. Mine is like that as well. If you look in the app at your bill, you will see Line 1-3 is Promo Discount -$40. The 4th line will actually show Multi-Line Discount -$40.
In terms of your auto-renew, I had the same issue. It bumped my price up when I enabled it. I believe it needs time to sync. Mine was on, went up in price, so i turned it off, and the discount returned. Came back to it a couple days later and turned it back on, and everything is golden.
My best advice is patience. Everyone here is quick to pull the trigger when the discount isn't reflected. Everything I have encountered has resolved itself with patience. I have not had to contact CS whatsoever from ordering, to activating all 4 PSim, to moving one to eSim. The influx of new customers probably just exposed their old system to such a degree that it's painfully obvious.
I would say yes to your time portion, but I would also say give them a little time. Once it's all entered and set, you don't have to worry about touching it for another 5 yrs.

What a mess. Finally received the pSIMS. Trying to activate at checkout it wants me to pay again for the service plan at $25 which is the regular port in promo.

I already purchased psims with plans attached supposedly. I was charged for the plan and SIMs.

I tried in chat and nothing. They scheduled a call back but they are asking for a service PIN. Anybody know what is a 'service PIN'?
