Let me get this straight, the brand new 9700x is only 1% or 2% faster in gaming according to benchmark tests, even after the 24H2 update. Outside of that, the 7700x is virtually the same CPU while being almost $140 cheaper??? Please explain to me how that makes any sense?

Missed it by an hour it seems. Why didn't the sale continue throughout the day?! I thought Newegg would price match so I just kept waiting. Darn!! Come on Newegg!

That's unfortunate. It was marked as a limited time deal, so I'm guessing they were only selling a few units at that price because it went back up immediately after I ordered it. I would keep checking back tonight and next week to see if it drops again. I was actually going to wait until later tonight to order it because I was in the middle of something and I assumed they would keep it on sale for the entire day. Then I remembered that I'm ALWAYS the guy who misses these deals, so I ordered it. Now I'm glad that I pulled the trigger quick.

You were right, I kept checking and got it for $210.78 + tax. Not even CamelCC shows the price dropping to this much today, it was only for short time. Thank you. Now to build a machine Smilie
