100%. Even the cheapest model here is better than the top-of-the-line models of a few years ago. The Q5 Pro on sale for $180 could handle a multi-story house easily (but not for mopping).

The auto-empty dock is definitely not necessary, though some folks here will disagree. The people who say they can't live without auto-empty are typically in homes with multiple heavily-shedding pets and carpets who say they'd have to empty it every day.

But if you're closer my situation, with mostly hard floors, some rugs, and no pets, running a schedule covering 2,200 square feet with rooms other than the kitchen and high-traffic areas vacuumed just once a week, I wouldn't recommend the auto-empty feature.

And I wouldn't recommend auto-empty if you have a messy house, because it's a mechanical device that picks up all kinds of debris, and to me you shouldn't buy a robot vac if your goal is to completely ignore it. When I empty it every week or two, I also look under the unit and untangle hair from the roller and side brush, and often (sadly) remove things that are stuck and could clog the whole thing. My wife is a bit of a slob and at various times I've found socks, face masks, hair bands, paper receipts, tissues, and bra pads among the things blocking up the vac. If you rely too much on auto-empty, you could be running the thing for a month or two with crap blocking the suction.

The lowest end Roborocks compare to the highest end Roombas. Roborock is more advanced and a better value.

This worked on the Q8 Max+. Brought the subtotal down to $369.60 before tax. Thanks so much!

For the Q5 Pro or Q7 Max, will the mopping feature stop when it gets on the rug or carpeted room?

Q5 Pro and Q7 Max both say no auto mop lifting so doesnt look like it. Idk how these work then. its just spraying water on the carpet the whole time? Or you just fill with water and tell it to do the hard floors map and then drain it and tell it to do the carpet/rugs?

Got the Q5 Pro about a month ago and really impressed for the price (same as this)

custom rooms for scheduling high traffic areas more often and like unused rooms less which is super cool. its quiet imo compared to my previous vac. battery life is huge. 20% drain after an hour of vacuuming.

wanted to set up routines in alexa but the app took care of everything with ease and customizable in ways i didn't think i'd use but were so easy not to.

I have the original Q5. I'm a pretty big fan; I also have a fur factory (much more expensive than the Q5) and have to empty the Q5 bin daily. It kinda seems like it does the job, but would any options here be significant QOL upgrades? Has anyone made such an upgrade and loved it? The house is mostly hard floors with some area carpets. Could put the Q5 on one floor and an upgraded model on the furrier floor…

I bought an refurbished E5 off of eBay a while back. Outlasted the two year warranty and battery still has good charge.
When I need a new vacuum Roborock will be my first choice.

I'm curious about the cheapest models…would they be good enough for a home gym? Or is auto-emptying dock necessary?
They really aren't that heavy, I'd probably choose a kettle bell for a lot cheaper.

Some of these prices don't seem that great compared to some past deals. I wonder if there will be better deals during Black Friday?

Just echoing what there have said, these things rock. I have an S5 that is 5-6 years old and still going strong on a replacement battery. Then another I bought 4 years ago to have one on each floor, just replaced the original battery in that second one. I run them every other day and they only need to be emptied every couple uses. We have a cat that sheds and a dog that doesn't…but little humans that make more of a mess than both.

Tempted to buy a new one for my main floor and move one of the others to the basement.

Do any of these have hair auto detangling that actually works?
