100%. Even the cheapest model here is better than the top-of-the-line models of a few years ago. The Q5 Pro on sale for $180 could handle a multi-story house easily (but not for mopping).

The auto-empty dock is definitely not necessary, though some folks here will disagree. The people who say they can't live without auto-empty are typically in homes with multiple heavily-shedding pets and carpets who say they'd have to empty it every day.

But if you're closer my situation, with mostly hard floors, some rugs, and no pets, running a schedule covering 2,200 square feet with rooms other than the kitchen and high-traffic areas vacuumed just once a week, I wouldn't recommend the auto-empty feature.

And I wouldn't recommend auto-empty if you have a messy house, because it's a mechanical device that picks up all kinds of debris, and to me you shouldn't buy a robot vac if your goal is to completely ignore it. When I empty it every week or two, I also look under the unit and untangle hair from the roller and side brush, and often (sadly) remove things that are stuck and could clog the whole thing. My wife is a bit of a slob and at various times I've found socks, face masks, hair bands, paper receipts, tissues, and bra pads among the things blocking up the vac. If you rely too much on auto-empty, you could be running the thing for a month or two with crap blocking the suction.
ID.me offers an additional 10% off for medical professionals, first responders, military, teachers, students.
The lowest end Roborocks compare to the highest end Roombas. Roborock is more advanced and a better value.

For the Q5 Pro or Q7 Max, will the mopping feature stop when it gets on the rug or carpeted room?
What mopping feature.. its a damn wet sponge attached to the bottom.

I have an S4 Max from 3 years ago and the dustbin is ridiculously small. Hopefully the newer models are improved. I'll never buy another robotic vacuum without auto emptying.
Other than the dustbin size I've been very happy with my Roborock.

Well if you enjoy emptying the dustbin to a cloud of dust after every schedule then good for you. I don't. Your situation may not be the same as everyone else which is why they came up with that option to begin with.

Years ago I got a Eufy RoboVac 11S for like $100. It's a bump and go, no auto empty, and I barely use it because of how much I have to interact with it. On the other had recently I got a Roborock Q5 Max+ with the dock for about $300 on Prime day, and it gets used every day.

I could never live without the auto empty dock, to me if you don't have it, it almost defeats the purpose, especially if you want to have it clean on a schedule.

I wasn't in the market…but these are pretty great deals. I got my S6 for $450 back in 2020, down from $650. I'll have to do some comparisons but looks like I'd be able to upgrade for better cheap.

Although I don't know that the auto dock does much for me. My folks just upgraded their Roborock and looked like it doesn't always self empty. Maybe too much dog hair.

What's the feature y'all are after to upgrade? I feel like I never use the mop. Ever.

Are these good prices?
Pathetic after sales, literally you will have to beg to get it serviced. If you want this model it's better to buy from Amazon rather their own website, atleast in Amazon you can file complaint during warranty period. Mine gave problem and warranty was not honored.

The models are overwhelming. What makes the Q8 Max+ $80 more than the Q5 Pro+? The reddit chart makes them look nearly identical.

Anyone find the dragging mop pad even worth it?

how do these compared to the roomba
My 6-year old Roborock s5 >>> 2-year old iRobot j7+

I bought the iRobot j7+ 2 years ago for the poop avoidance feature. Before purchasing, I watched a bunch of reviews that rated it similarly to the equivalent Roborock. Lies.

I have the j7+ set to cycle twice around the 1st floor. Every couple of days, I'll move my Roborock s5 (2018) downstairs so it can "deep clean" after the j7 finishes. The s5 usually picks up another 3/4 bin.

The j7 requires frequent maintenance and gets stuck often. There's an app setting that lets you block off zones where it is likely to get stuck but that just means I have to go back with a handheld vacuum to clean those areas. For some reason, the Roborock s5 doesn't get stuck in those same areas.

The s5 cleans better, gets stuck less often, requires less maintenance, and does not need to recharge as frequently.

We'll, now that I'm done complaining, I'm gonna go find the broom so I can fish the j7+ out from under the bed where it's currently stuck.

Thanks! Another 10% off is enough for me to give the Q8 Max w/o an empty dock a try.
I dont think you can use both coupons. They dont stack, it's one or the other.
