I purchased a different 10 x 10 Crown Shades canopy from Amazon a few weeks ago for my daughter's birthday party, we did in fact use it for a beach outing just like one of the photos of this one shows (though we used it fully upright in the sand, not tilted like a beach canopy).
At face value, it looks like every other 10 x 10 canopy that I've seen many families set up for tailgating at kids' teams sports tournaments, and which there are many brands and models on Amazon or sporting goods stores for about $100. However, this Crown Shades one has the big central push-lock button which is a big differentiator, and truly makes it possible for just one person to easily set this up. That's miles ahead of the typical canopy, even at the regular prices around $100, and a steal at $60 if you're looking for a canopy.
Another minor but nice thing about this one that not all canopies have, is the canvas top has two wind vents sewn-in at the top, those did work well in windy conditions like our beach outing, to minimize lift trying to blow the canopy away.
The only thing I've seen some criticize this model, is that for a rolling canopy, the wheels are built into two legs of the canopy itself, whereas some people prefer the wheels on the canopy bag so that the canopy can be fully protected in the bag. But even with this one sitting with its wheels fully in the sand all day, I didn't find any problems with debris gunking up the wheels or bearings, they still spun just fine after the outing.
