I like these. I have Bosch and Diablo speed bores. These work a little faster. Less spray and smoother bore.

Have this,in all honesty it just works ok. Regular Diablo Speeddemon spade bit worked better than this.

I disagree with your assertion that spade bits working better than these. These work great when new/sharp. However, if you hit a nail with these, they're pretty much toast instantly.

That's showing $36 for me on amazon, and they are only 4", not 6" like this one is.

Agree 100%, faster, cleaner punch through and they draw themselves in with the screw tip. They wobble less (especially in an extension) and stay sharp longer than spade bits. If you run into something not wood though... Order a replacement because you're going to basically be burning holes through until it arrives. That's pretty much the case with spade bits also.

Yeah, for people that have never used one of these but only used traditional "spade" bits, these are amazing. I've got an Irwin and one other brand and I like both of them.

This works great. I probably cut a hundred holes in 2x4s to run wires. Then I've drilled twice as many into tree trunks to poison trees and it finally was dull. Can't speak to this vs Diablo but far better than any spade but I've used and less effort too.
