It amazes me how these greedy soulless companies keep putting harmful chemicals in their products. The margin is meaningless if the company substitutes the food coloring that is made from petroleum such as Red 40, Yellow 5... (Any color followed by a number basically) by fruit and vegetable based colors such as carrots or turmeric... At this point, I just think they're trying to screw us up to keep the pharmaceutical companies and health services going. Obnoxious numbers of studies linked those petroleum based food colorings to numerous health issues, and the only thing the FDA can do is to oblige those companies to put them on the label which is good and I thank them for that but I wish they could totally ban them as they cause risks to our health. That being said, I'm doing my best to inform and educate people as human beings and members of a society. Please spread the words and boycott any brand that still uses these crops as many other brands started moving away from them due to sales. God bless.

I thank you for that, but if you can add the reason you're turning it down so the lazy people would know why you did it. ☺️

Red 40 is one of the most common, and controversial, synthetic food dyes. It's known to cause behavior and mood issues, especially in children. It's an allergen to certain people, can trigger migraines and exacerbate add. Research also links or to increase incidence of cancer

They succinctly said why they aren't buying it...you can do the rest of the tedious legwork of typing 'red 40' into any search engine.

Let's break this down and separate the facts from the fiction.

1. **Common and Controversial**: True. Red 40, also known as Allura Red AC, is indeed one of the most commonly used synthetic food dyes. It is controversial due to various health concerns raised over the years.

2. **Behavior and Mood Issues**: Partially true. Some studies suggest that artificial food colorings, including Red 40, may exacerbate hyperactive behavior in children, particularly those with ADHD. However, the evidence is mixed, and not all studies agree on the extent of these effects.

3. **Allergen and Migraines**: True, but rare. While Red 40 can cause allergic reactions in some individuals, such cases are relatively rare. It has also been reported to trigger migraines in sensitive individuals, though this is not universally experienced.

4. **Exacerbate ADD**: Partially true. Similar to the behavior and mood issues, there is some evidence suggesting that Red 40 might exacerbate symptoms in children with ADHD, but the scientific consensus is not definitive.

5. **Cancer Link**: Misleading. The link between Red 40 and cancer is not well-established in humans. Some animal studies have suggested potential carcinogenic effects at very high doses, but these findings have not been conclusively demonstrated in humans. Regulatory agencies like the FDA and EFSA have deemed it safe for consumption within specified limits.
