As someone who has made OEM cables, let me give you a big warning about this product. CCA is brittle and tends to break over time with bending. CCA is also has about half the current capability of copper. We did a lot of testing about 15 years ago on CCA and it is not a good choice for high current applications- like battery power. There is a reason automakers aren't using it for high current applications, and we all know they want to save money.

Better to carry a jumper battery pack than actually having to jump someone with cables lol.

I've actually used my jumper pack a few times. One on myself but a couple times on my mowers and
4 wheelers.

You wont find one for $10. Just an alternative suggestion.

While the chance is low, you can cause damage to your car when jumping. Way too many electronics in new cars to risk it. You can get them from $30-$50.

Also, it lets you jump yourself and not wait on a good samaritan lol.

I literally bought this at Walmart today. Um, was full price. Guess online only?

Wonder what the difference is…

These are more like 10 gauge copper jumper cables.

A critical detail that should be included in the title and main deal body.

Copper prices have certainly made solid copper jumper cables less common, but far from extinct.

Good luck!

A common trick with Chinese wire is to state the gauge of the jacket, not the AWG cable size. You could very easily be correct.

They could easily be CCA. Factories produce plenty of 4 gauge, 2 gauge and even 00 CCA wire. They SHOULDNT be CCA, but it is a definite possibility.

Well, they are UL listed so I doubt they are out of spec.

I see nothing that says they are CCA.

I've never had a problem with CCA cables that were at least this thick of gauge. Maybe if you're jump starting diesel engines frequently you may run into an issue.

I have some off brand amazon 4-guage cables that have worked fine the last 7 years . The ones in this deal are likely at least as good.
