I've tried several brands of these, my experience is they all suck. They don't cast much light and die after a few months.

Yes there is a switch but it is on the back of the unit which means you have to remove from the wall to turn off.

Apprec Reply.. was gonna mount w/ rare-earth MAGs on Back + Wall to Store in Dark Cabinet for Travel, so that's useful for Stow'g when Charged Up.. Thanx!

so, think more of these as a "Ah crap, I can't see where I'm going here comes a quick trip to the ground" type of light. These are great for outings with an RV or camper. The not so bright lights work amazingly when at a campground with surrounding neighbors. Not bright enough to be a distraction, but plenty bright to navigate with ease during those super dark nights.

Agree. The best ones are the ones that just use cheap Nicad AAs where you can swap them out when they die. They also seem to crater in performance when it gets cold out overnight.
