On the Porto's, per the manual (page 16) it seems you can change the bulb https://www.westinghouselighting....100_im.pdf

The Willa, I'm not sure about.

Not a dumb question at all. I bought a hunter fan with built in LED lights, but I wish I got one with regular bulb sockets so I could put in brighter bulbs.

How do you know if a fan is ECM? I've only heard of AC and DC fans

Dumb question are these led lights replaceable bulbs or built in?

Depends on the fan and style for sure, but there are some "universal" fan light kits available that I've been swapping onto some around the house where the built in LED fixture just isn't enough.

Example in white is the Hampton Bay 91383. They've also got dark and satin nickel versions. $30 at HD or closer to $20 open box on eBay.

Except for one oddball fan I have the more traditional ones have all been able to fit these using one of the various install methods.

ECM is the technical/fancy term for a brushless DC motor.

Don't think any of these are DC motors.

Don't know why anyone would spend so little on a ceiling fan with low RPM.

If you're going to spend the time installing it and realistically, you'd only need to switch ceiling fans once or twice in decades, might as well just spend more for something more premium.

The look, feel, and performance of something like this is so cheap.
