Why do pizza chains all use this model where they increase menu prices to an unreasonable extent and then make you look for coupons? If a coupon is permanent then that's just the normal price with extra steps. There's been plenty of times where I wanted to order something a little different but couldn't justify paying 50% more just to add a topping or change the type of crust and then make my order ineligible for whatever the coupon was.

Just charge what your product costs rather than making it inaccessible or inconvenient just for the sake of making your coupons appear like a better deal.

I agree, but my guess is they want to seem more premium than pizza places like Little Caesar's who rarely has discounts and prices their pizza low
