A fridge or an oven failing wouldn't be too bad, but a dishwasher leaking everywhere? That can be outrageously expensive. My in-laws had theirs fail (GE), and it was somewhere around $10,000 because it destroyed a considerable amount of good flooring. They're on a slab, and the water just seeped all over the place underneath, trashing their hardwood floor.
If you need parts, they are either not available or extremely expensive.
I stupidly bought a samsung gas cooktop a few years ago because it had a 22K BTU wok burner. I thought, how could they screw up something as simple as a gas cooktop?
It works well enough. However, the rubber feet on the grates have fallen off after 4 years. I have had nothing but gas cooktops for 30 years, and never had this part failed on other brands. Most manufacturers make this part available for a small price, but not Samsung. You must buy the entire grate for $272 to get a 10 cent part, that is poorly designed and delicate. That $272 is the price for 1/3 grates. So replacing grates costs as much as the cooktop new.
Another doozie, a metal/plastic knob for the cooktop costs $124 (it has 5). The knobs are along the front very close to the front burners, so I could see them easily getting damaged. Strangely the larger burners are in front near the plastic knobs, and the smaller burners are in the back. Would not it make sense to put the smaller burners next to the knobs? Or better yet, locate the knobs in the front center, away from the burners.
A burner cap is $88.
The same parts for a Thermador cooktop are $39 for a knob, and $43 for a burner cap. Thermador grate feet are available on ebay 16 for $8.
Samsung should stick to phones.

Get a Whirlpool or GE.

Then they had a leaky AC drain from the second floor damage the floor, a wall, carpeting, and a bunch of stored items (including more mold because they didn't see it right away in a guest room) for another $12k of damage. Allstate dropped them after 40+ years of being customers.
1 month old, our fridge will not make ice. And we find mold int eh drain pan. We call Samsung out. They find no fault in it. And the mold, the tech tried to blame environment which I am a clean freak plus, dude! The house is 1 month old!!! So then he reverts to that's normal to have mold in drain pan. Dude! No it's not. You get mold from water which means the drain pan is getting water from somewhere. Look online. VERY common problem and the mold is from the faulty ice maker. I'm highly allergic to mold and have MCAS. I can NOT have mold in my drain pan. Did Samsung fix it? No.
3 months our dishwashing was leaking. Called Samsung. He then calmed the builder for the plastic levelers not holding up. Basically says they were too rough during installation. Ummm was fine when we moved in. Regular washing is what caused it to give out which is a manufacturer problem. Here's a thought, don't use plastic for your support on an appliance that will have lots of weight from dishes and water plus the movement from the water spraying.
8 months to a year , the Samsung stove electric burner goes out. It does not work. It's out of warranty according to Samsung but they can come out and look at it for $350. And then charge me for the part. Looked up online and it a common problem with the model.
The microwave. A little over a year it literally catches on fire. After much haggling, hassles, frustration, and aggravation, they refund me $180 bc of legalities. The identical microwave costs $220 brand new. Thanks Samsung. Thanks. You couldn't even refund me the actual cost of replacing. Needless to say, we bought a diff brand.
I wish I was lying. But every. Single. Appliance that has been Samsung has went out. and all in less than 1.5 years. 50% didn't make it past a year. And they have blamed every one else, won't fix it under warranty, won't fix it after warranty, and havs not had reliable products. You hear many complaints about the customer service. It's true. They are horrid. But think about this. Why do people know their customer service is horrid? Bc they appliances are junk. Let me repeat it, DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG !
