One of the reviews stated that the Plastic handle is the weakest part of this hammer and it broke while that person was whacking on something. YMMV!!!

Fiberglass is a little different than "just" plastic, and is the most common hand-tool handle material in use today. I would certainly choose it over a wood handle at this point. Both wood and fiberglass have the added benefit over something like a steel handle of dampening the vibrations that you would otherwise feel with every impact of the hammer head. Steel handles have their place, but they belong on things like shovels, bolt cutters, post-hole diggers, etc.

This looks to be better built than the Harbor Freight one by Pittsburgh for $12.99. In for one, thanks OP!

Just an FYI, Hart is made by Techtronic Industries, the parent company of Milwaukee, Ryobi, and Ridgid.

Excellent, thanks OP. I needed something between 2 and 8, and I'm excited to use the reticle feature.

That tends to happen when a product is on clearance.

Same.
Priced at $10.77 for me though. Not sure the $9.99 shipping is worth it.
