The abysmal airlines has the GoWild pass on sale again for $299 for the fall+winter season ( Sept 1, 2024 - Feb 28, 2025 )

Similar to standby flights where you only pay taxes, but at least with this pass you get confirmation the day before instead of at the gate, lol.

Make sure to do your research before you buy and don't bring even a personal bag! 😭

Well I'm battle hardened by flying standby on buddypass w/o the employee. This is better than guest standby IMO since you get guaranteed seats the night before, and not have to be left rejected at the gate. Great if you're a bachelor/digital nomad, and can fly wherever you want. I'd totally do it if I were single, despite the customer service with denying personal bags that obviously fits in the size bins 🤣

I was looking into this, specifically because you could confirm a seat the night before, but then read this BS:

A GoWild! Early Booking charge will vary based on day of travel and will be included in the total price shown.

I'm skipping this 'deal' because of BS like that...

Do you know if night before or same day bookings get charged that rate?

If you have status with them (free bag / seats / early boarding), you can apply your status to each of the go wild reservations. However the available flights are very unreliable. I would monitor which flights are available the few weeks before I planned on flying. Then, the one week I planned to use it, the departure flight was good, but my return flight which was available the previous two weeks on Wednesday, wasn't available that week. It wasn't even a holiday or blackout date and the flight wasn't full because it allowed you to buy it at normal prices. I probably wouldn't buy it again.

There is no charge for the night before. That "early booking charge" is for some flights that are available a week or two before with go wild. I still wouldn't recommend you gett it though.

No, that "early booking charge" is for some flights that are available for go wild 1-2 weeks early. You only pay taxes on the same day / day before flights ($16 each way, or $25 with layover)

I am a glutton for punishment and like to try... Well, I used them and they burned me. Never reimbursed me for my other airline flight... Their flight credit was used again... Same thing, LOL! Had to buy another airline ticket.

Just say no, then remember you said no. And never forget the answer is no!

I am sure if you live in Denver and go to there non stop destinations you will work out fine... But remember, the answer is NO!!!

Most helpful response I have seen on the topic. Thank you!

Wait, I still don't understand. They say it's a HALF-year offer and the price is $299 per YEAR.
How does it work?

I've had the annual pass for 2 years now (40+ flights) and this is something that people misunderstand a lot - the pass is not "last seat availability", Frontier actually has a certain number of Go Wild seats on each flight that they open up. Once those are booked, regardless of how full the flight is, it won't show up as an option on the pass. The easiest way to get around this is to be ready at midnight to book your flight, right when the booking window opens. For example if I want a flight on Saturday afternoon, as soon as the clock strikes midnight going from Thursday into Friday, you need to be on the website booking the flight. The "24 hour window" is really the calendar day prior to your departure day, not exactly 24 hours. This is a pain if you don't usually stay up late but it almost guarantees you will get your flight, I think I've only had 1 instance where this was an issue and it was because I forgot to stay up and tried to book it the next morning.

If you can get status on Frontier (match from hotel/airline) to get free bags/seat selection, live near an airport with a lot of Frontier flights (check their route map, places like Denver and Orlando are no brainers), have flexibility with your time, and understand that no matter what Frontier will inevitably screw you over sometimes (make sure you have a credit card with travel delay/cancellation coverage), then I would recommend this pass very highly. That's a lot of caveats though and I know for most people not having the tickets until the day before can be super stressful. My counter though is that if you can use this pass 2x for flights that you were planning to take regardless (not random dumb flights just because you have the pass), then you've likely more than made your money back on the pass.

This $299 pass is good for half a year, September-February, then renews annually unless you cancel. Half a year, per year.
If you get the full year pass it's a full year, per year.
