Instant on, the much better heating element, the better steam wand, the three way valve for dry pucks. On the plus you get auto froth milk which is great.

Instant on and use is probably the biggest deal.

Really should just go for the bambino if you're spending 300 on a breville. The plus is worth the step up.

Agreed with index! Dollar for dollar the Bambino Plus is a great vehicle into your caffeine journey. Paired with DF54-68 and you're quite golden for years to come. Also, tons of great snobs/experts/enthusiasts/12 Angry Men info and tips out there should you want to up your experience.
