Target also has a $2 Circle Coupon:

Free and clear:
https://www.target.com/p/lysol-la...A-75663965

Linen:
https://www.target.com/p/lysol-cr...A-51848255

Sport:
https://www.target.com/p/lysol-la...A-52921073

Like to wash all the stuff that comes home from daycare with this.

Take care though, the free and clear and "Linen" scented packaging is super similar at a glance -- I got the wrong one on a pickup order once.

I did too! Now we're stuck going thru 4 massive containers of the scented one before we can get more 😅

I get a gallon of white vinegar for $2.50 at my local grocery store and it accomplishes the same thing (kills additional bacteria leftover from detergent).

I think so, yeah. We use it on bedding and towels and sportswear and it is amazingly effective at preventing odors from staying in the fabrics. I think it's softer on the materials than bleach is based on feel after drying too, but I have no data to support that.

Yup. Just use white vinegar in the fabric softener reservoir, people.

Where do you put the fabric softener?

(white!) vinegar is used instead of fabric softener (it has been a long favorite of the fewer chemical crowd as a fabric softener replacement, the only potential downside is it is more likely to break down the seals/hoses in the dispenser than lysol/fabric softener so ideally don't leave it sitting in there for extended periods of time.)

(in a 1:4 concentration in a spray bottle it's also an excellent homemade cleaner, not for use on marble and other stone surfaces like that that are sensitive to PH due to etching)

Both vinegar and this have to be used prior to adding detergent. Else the detergent becomes ineffective.

To anyone using Vinegar please remember: Vinegar should not be used as a part of your regular laundry routine, as the acid in vinegar can damage seals and hoses in your washing machine, causing leaks.

7 years using food grade white vinegar - no problems with my machine. I wouldn't use cleaning grade vinegar though.
