I bought this a year ago for 399. Seat has been amazing.
- You can get this thing in and out of the car quickly. It's heavy, but it's far easier and quicker than a lot of seats I've found.
- This becomes pretty important when you have a spill and néed to get to it quickly. We have a hybrid and guess where the battery is? Under rear seat! Easily a multi thousand dollar repair.
- Also, since it's easy to take out, it's easy to unhook the cloth and such to clean. The cloth inserts are all removable and cleanable.
- Recently, we had a spill and I had quite the potty mouth trying to get a different seat out and trying to remove the cloth cover. For example, this one has velcro around the straps so the padding can come out without unhooking the the straps FROM THE BACK OF THE SEAT. Omg that was a nightmare with the other seat! Was so grateful they made this one better. Not to mention, trying to pass the straps through a nasty and soggy seat with the spill was just gross and unnecessary!
Watch some videos and read reviews.its quite the solid seat and like I said, I paid 400 a year ago.If we buy this would it still be sufficient for new born to at least 5 years? Is it recommended to use that long? I really dont have any idea about this type of car seats!
