What is good about it is that the specs aren't exaggerated like so many cheap LED projectors on Amazon. It is objectively brighter than two Amazon projectors I've tried that cost over $100 and claimed 700 ANSI lumen. Colors are also reasonably accurate and the image it produces will look good and sharp. I've projected it at up to 120 inches and it is solid.
The big downsides for me are that it doesn't have any optical or digital zoom, and the keystone adjustment is extremely minimal. What this means is that if you are projecting onto a screen, your placement options are very limited, as the projector has to be a set distance from the screen and also above/below the screen. It also doesn't help that the power cable is super short, but you can use a PC power supply cable that is longer if needed. Not a huge deal, but it can be annoying. Lastly, it did get a few small dust spots over time that I wasn't able to get rid of, but this is common with any cheap LED projector and not a deal breaker.
For this price, if this is your first foray into projectors, you will not be disappointed at all. The image quality and brightness that this is capable of is way better than other cheap LED projectors I've tried.
Something I've learned - when buying cheap LED projectors, check the wattage. This unit uses around 150 watts and comes with a separate brick power supply. I've tried two other cheap LED projectors from Amazon that claimed higher lumen counts and both used 75 watts and neither had an external power supply. This one is far brighter than those, so I think there's something to this.
If you plan to buy a nicer projector down the line and have a dedicated space, I really like my Elite Screens Manual B pull-down screen. It has a slight gain surface, so it helps brighten the image, and the material is solid, so light doesn't pass through it. Downside is you need a place to hang it or store it and they're rigid and very long (if you get a large enough size).
If you use a cheap cloth screen mounted on a frame and it's too close to a wall, light can pass through it and bounce back, making the image look fuzzy. However, if your space allows enough space between the cloth screen and the wall (such as projecting outdoors) this issue is mitigated and they can look good. This can be a good option if you have minimal storage space, but a good pull-down screen will definitely look better.

The RCA RPJ167 is 480p native NOT 1080p native.
That's why the image on the Walmart site shows 1080p compatible.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-10...2079678080
and the lumen upgrade is a drastic improvement.
this projector allows for decent daytime viewing in front of a big window where the old one was just about unusable during the daytime. I am very happy with this purchase
But those projectors are $600+.
For $50, with the understanding that you'll use this only after dark, assuming there isn't a street light blazing outside the window, and your expectations of sharpness and color accuracy aren't too high, get it. At worst, you'll learn why $50 isn't sufficient for a home theatre or football watching projector and you'll near about how projectors need to be setup to get the clearest picture and about projector noise. Any projector over 30dB is LOUD, except in war movies with lots of sound.
I had a 500 ANSI Lumen Optima ML550 LED projector as my first starter in 2012-ish. It worked for about 30,000 hours, but there's no replacement. I'd expect this to be about the same for 10x less cost.
Moved to a used 700 ANSI Lumen portable Epson LED that had the main LED chip partially fail after a year due to overheating. The projected image had many thousands of white spots and dark spots where the little mirrors stopped working. Basically, it looked like a star field when there wasn't any video played. Heat management is a big issue for all projectors and makes the parts wear out faster if not addresses properly. The replacement Ti chip isn't sold anymore, but used they are $200. More money than I wanted to throw that way.
Got a refurbished Epson 1080 projector directly from Epson with 2500 ANSI Lumen. Epson lamps tend to be cheaper than the others that use replaceable lamps. That is a consideration for long time projector people.
In between, I did get a $200 Chinese Vanyko projector where the vendor admitted they just kept increasing the claimed LUNs because they could and Amazon didn't penalize them in any way for lying. Atfer 13 months, that projected died. No light at all. It was crazy noisy - btw, they claimed "new cooling technology" had made the fan noise 50% less. Can't be. Another lie. Used an android dB meter app to measure it from 1m away - it was over 60dB.
We haven't had any TVs in the house since around 2012. Only projectors. Comparing a 50inch TV to a 120 inch wall projector makes the point.
Also, don't ever plan to use the speaker on any projector. Hook up at least a sound bar if not a full receiver.
After you decide that toy projectors are good for your kid's playroom, not your media center room, got to projectorcentral.com and do a little reading. Also, wirecutter has some projector reviews, but since they use affiliate links, it isn't surprising they always like the more expensive projectors. I'd stick with Optoma, Epson, BenQ projectors if you care about quality pictures and fan noise.
If price matters more, Anker Nebula-something and a Chinese brand that starts with an Xi...... are lower cost and seem reputable.
If you care about privacy, avoid all the projectors with Android TV built-in and networking that is required. Watch out for bluetooth, which is a security nightmare and has always been. Those ease-of-use things are also sucking your privacy away. Beware.

Woot have decent return policy and its an LG device. reviews on it is pretty positive.
- good brightness 600lum
- no inputlag (thought I can't find any exact numbers but all reviewers say its low and they don't notice any lags)
- small/portable with built in battery
- wifi and youtube built in.
- miracast
its more but better than get something lower cost and not happy with it
I rmemeber as a kid in the 1980s RCA use to be a great quality USA brand. now it's cheap chinese junk.

- LOUD Indoors: This is about 56db next to the fan, about 45db 6 feet away. It's really the only thing you notice when you don't have any sound. The fan is annoying so you have to crank up the internal speakers that much more. If you have a separate speaker system, it may work well.
- Chunky. It seems pretty hollow inside.
- Unusable bottom screw. The screw pitch is not your normal camera tripod screw. It's more narrow so you can't screw anything in unless you buy an adapter.
- Bright. You can still see well inside a room with a 800lm bulb on. But you can't adjust the brightness to go dimmer so good luck in dimly lit environments. I was hoping to dim the projector to lessen the fan noise.
- Some stuck white pixels. You won't notice unless you get a completely black image. Which is strange, a gray color should technically show the stuck pixels but they disappear unless the image is completely black.
- Minimum 5ft throw distance. If you go any closer, you can't focus.
- Great colors! I'm surprised how vibrant and how well this compares to my older LG LED projectors.
- 87 Watts without any streaming stick idle. 90 Watts when a Google TV is plugged in.
- No Frills. It has exactly all the functions you need nothing more nothing less. The flip and mirror options are features only high-end projectors do and this has it! In other words, you can hang this upside down or project this from the back or shine this through the mirror and you can still correct it.
Overall, for the $43 price tag, it's worth it but only if you can deal with the problems mentioned above. It's useable in daylight, obviously best at night, but most importantly the optics are great. Corner to corner sharpness - particularly great image, especially for the price.
And yes, it is brighter than the budget one on Amazon.
If you've been holding off.... NOW is the time to buy one.
So it can go a little lower or higher. Like every projector in existence though it is already to designed to project the image with the bottom of the frame aligned to the unit so sitting on a knee high table will still display at eye level with 0 degrees ketstoning.
I got lucky... I bought 1, but received 1 case. That included 2 units. Both units are brand new, sealed. No reason to suspect they were used or refurbished.
