You can have 10 yrs warranty for Costco
Where does it say there is a 10 year warranty? The CalPak website shows Warranties of 1, 2 and 5 years - https://www.calpaktravel.com/page...-guarantee.

I just wish the carryon was a tad bigger, doesn't even max out intl requirements. I'm on a quest to find the lightest carry-on that I don't have to stress about in Europe with the max L capacity.

And? Did it last, good, bad?
It's ok. Feels a little light and flimsy. But not terrible. Definitely not on par with tumi. Or even the mid tier samsonite. But mine haven't broken and I've only had for 2 years and maybe like 3 trips max. The packing cubes are excellent quality. I bought the luggage set for aesthetic. They have more colors at tjmaxx. when they break I would probably replace with samsonite.

This is basically a two piece set for $ 180.

Watch how much you pack into the 28" one. If you travel economy most of the time your allowance will be 50lbs.
50-11 = 39lbs. If you pack this piece full you will almost certainly be over the weight limit.
(Yes, I know, it depends on the density if the stuff you pack).

Experts swear by softside. No hard side will hold up especially at this price range. Bought a samsonite from Costco and it didn't even last 2 trips.
Agreed on softside.

What people exactly? If you buy a new car and it has issues, do you offer to pay out of pocket instead of accepting repairs under warranty? Why are you on SD?

Dude, all branded checked bag is around 10+ lbs. I've never seen any 24"+ checked bag which weight is 5lbs.
My last 28" from IT was 4.85 lbs soft side and has lasted 12 years with regular international travel. I would never buy an 11lb suitcase, you can't hardly fill it up

Take it easy.
