Not the HP version and not with the dual roller. Totally different.

I own this dual roller model and yes it does a great job but it's also very unwieldy and not particularly maneuverable. I also have the standard floor-roller tool from my original stick vac and it's much lighter and maneuverable.

I'll never buy from Direct Tools Outlet again. They never shipped the tool I purchased, but they shipped the other item I ordered with it. I exchanged emails with them for almost two months where all they said was "This has been escalated." The order still says "shipped to this day"

When I finally told them that I was about to chargeback, they finally gave me a different reply. They told me that the order was never shipped but never specified why. Secondly, I wanted to return the other item because it was an accessory for the item that never shipped but since it took them almost two months to reply, I was outside of their 30-day return policy. They got me over to management pretty quickly and the manager was rather sympathetic to my grievances.

They finally agreed to let me return the accessory, but when I asked if they would also refund the $14.99 flat rate shipping, they denied that as well. I explained to them that I was okay with paying that cost for the tool plus the accessory because the factory blemished item plus the shipping still came out to be less than buying it from Home Depot and that there is no way I would pay $14.99 for just a ~$30 accessory. Because of this, I had to stick around for another hour while they spoke to the finance department.

In the end, they gave me a shipping label to return the item and also refunded the shipping cost, but I couldn't get away from a "restocking fee." The manager I spoke to was fantastic, but I will not subject myself to potentially go through that ever again.

How is this with the non HP batteries? I have a dozen regular batteries and could use a decent stick vacuum.

I use this model every day. There's zero benefit to using an HP battery on it beyond you probably get a couple minutes extra run time. This vacuum is really too powerful for anything smaller than 3ah pack, so keep that in mind. Feel free to put any 4AH pack from the last 17 years or something on it, it does great. Tons of suction and beater power, nice headlamps, reasonable noise levels.

How is the price this time. I have been wanting one. I have batteries because I like the inflator, light and works well.

Thanks, thought of getting it for the stairs. Sounds like it's a no go for that. Saved me $130 or whatever return shipping would be.

Is this thing really worth $130 without even a battery? I could almost justify it with a 4ah pack or something but dang. Still pretty spendy.

I have this vacuum and love it. I bought it at full price when it first came out. I don't notice a difference using HP or non batteries.

I've only had the exact opposite experience, multiple times. So take it with a grain of salt.

I use the adapter and my DeWalt batteries. Just remember the USB ports on the adapter will drain the battery.

Personally, I have never had any issues with DTO. Their sales are kind of a joke compared compared to what they used to be, but occasionally I can still get a decent deal. Unless it is a really good deal, I wait for free shipping. I get most items ordered within a week. About 2 weeks ago,I ordered a cordless buffer with a free ship code and it arrived in about 5 days. Do NOT order refurbished, but any factory blem items are new in box. I like Ryobi as I am pretty much a weekend warrior and their quality is fine for my use and I love the price and variety of tools they have. I must have at least 50 different tools now with about half and half between DTO and HD. Whenever they have a sale, compare to HD before ordering anything. As I said, sometimes their sales can be a joke.

I mean if you look at other Stick Vacuums that are any good and they are all pretty pricey. If you are in the Ryobi system anyway its a great deal I think. I love mine. I had the Tineco ones and they were pretty good too but are just as expensive. I also had a Wyze and it was this much too. This is better than both of those and the battery options I have make it much more convenient.
