the 20K lumen claim is garbage. despite the funky name these are well known, well built, and tested in the flashlight community

Wurkkos reached out to me to do a review and get reimbursed for the price of a flashlight a month ago. They have gone silent since I posted my review and haven't reimbursed me. Now they are on my S list.

The other end of the plug is irrelevant. A USB cable is a USB cable. Not sure what charging brick/cable this comes with, but you could definitely use any charger + cable combo that has a male USB-C end to plug into the flashlight.

The charging rate will differ based on the output of your power brick but again, the wire and protocol are the same, the connectors are basically a matter of preference/compatibility for the devices you choose to use (until you get into specific power delivery or data transfer cases where you need a higher spec or capabilities than basic charging)
You would think that was the case, but it's just not--I own two flashlights and two lanterns that have USB-C ports, but they will ONLY charge with a USB-A to USB-C cable. I can't tell you why. If I plug them into a USB-C charger, nothing happens. I've tried multiple chargers and multiple cables.

USB C has a specific charging spec (USB-C-PD) that negotiates who's charging and what rates can be drawn, etc.

It's a little more involved than "5V provided on Vcc line, pinky promise to draw less than 2.4A"

Its entirely possible a USB-C-PD charger would refuse to charge something that didn't negotiate properly.

The TD01C is also 3x the cost.
I am not sure how you calculated 3x the cost of this one. TD01C is currently $38.

This is not completely accurate. For some devices that support different charging protocols/wattage, you need USB C to USB C so the power can be negotiated between devices. For instance, on my Samsung phone it supports many charging speeds. There is normal, which is very slow, fast charging, and super fast changing. Each one is rated for a different wattage/amperage. You will never achieve super fast charging without a USB C to USB C cable.

does it charge with USB-C to C cable? meaning true USB-C charging or do you have to have USB-A to C?
It comes with USB-A to C, but mine charges fine with USB-C to C.

Last time I saw the price it was $70. Looks like they've come down quite a bit.

In for one. Coupon worked for me. I'm hoping this will help me see the skunks better on my morning walks. Preferably before I am within range!

i have other flashlights that would not charge C to C, only A to C, that's why im asking. It's definitely an issue.

example, even PS5 controller won't charge C to C, only A to C...

I don't know anything about flashlights, so can someone explain why you would pay $20 for a 1050 lumens flashlight when you can get something like a 20K lumens flashlight for almost half the price on Amazon?
Your not getting 20,000 lumens for $10 or $20 or even $50
Cheap no name flashlights always lie about their lumens output and they will not last very long they start to flicker until they eventually dont work at all.
A good sign to stear clear is if the flashlight is zoomable.
Zoomable usually are garbage lights
