These kind of things meant to use in conjunction jackstand. Never trust any jack on its own.

They have a locking rod in case the hydraulic's fail. You are supposed to raise to one of the lock heights, then release the pressure.

These are a lot sturdier than Jack stands. And are made by BendPak

These lift at the pinch welds or frame. where are you putting the jack stands?

I have had a quick jack for 6 years. My only complaint is the hydraulic fittings on the power unit are semi proprietary (you could buy a few common pieces and make one, but it's not worth it), and a seal failed and made a leak, so instead of using common $10-15 connector I had to buy their $50 one.

They aren't useful for every situation though. A brake job for instance, if you have a low profile rapid pump jack you'll save 10-15 minutes not setting the QJ up. It's heavy and unwieldy.

QuickJack is the name, but is a compact, "portable" hydraulic lift.

Considering that you are commenting on a product in which one is required to already own a QJ, the answer seems obvious.

They really jacked the price up on these. Right before COVID you could get them ~$180. Now they are double and the rest of their items haven't doubled. They are price gouging on these hard.

Thought this was a full set of QuickJacks for $350 and freaked out. I have been wanting a set for sooooo long.

In modern cars it's so hard to lift the car. Even with an ultra-low profile floor jack I'm unable to lift many modern cars and have to do some real acrobatics to get them on jack stands. I hate that they've made the pinch welds the only lift points. Even Honda has made their lift points disappear or much harder to access, and they were probably the kings of making it easy to DIY.
