Oris 771-1 Caliber is Sellita Cal SW500 ("ETA clone" movement based on the ETA/Valjoux 7750) w/ Integrated chrono mechanism.

43mm case dia, 16.3mm th, 52.1mm lug-to-lug, 21mm lug strap, screw-down crown, gloss black dial, recessed subdials, sapphire glass (double-domed) inner AR, w/ SS case back, 120 click bezel.

Vibrations 28.8k, 48 hrs power reserve (per seller Watchmax), so this is the pre-Dec 2020 barrel design. (Updated barrel gives 62 hrs power reserve if it matters)

Why get this when I can get a seiko samurai
uhh, because its a Swiss gilded homage chrono???

apples to oranges my friend but the Seiko samurai is no slouch...

this watch exists to live on leather, but I would still buy the bracelet version and seek out a leather aftermarket.

edit: I would buy the leather variant and seek out a leather aftermarket, that way when the watch was handed down to the next generation, they could have the factory leather new.
And yes, I buy watches with the intent to pass them to my children, there is no value appreciation on any watch unless it says Rolex and I certainly don't mess with Patek Philippe.

Pretty sweet price for a swiss chrono.

The only downside for those with thin wrists is that 16mm thickness at 43mm diameter is pretty large IMO. I have a similar 43mm/16mm thick watch and it just doesn't look at good on me unfortunately :'( I blame my genetics.

Same here. I'd jump on this but for the exceptional bulky thickness, and the 52mm L-to-L @ 43mm covers a swath of my arm. Great watch for those with better genes. Great watch.

Love Chorographs but 43mm is a large watch and too thick
