Go with the Ryobi. I got an older model off eBay from worx when I bought my house and needed something to get the work done to avoid code enforcement fines. It was savings, but the spools are impossible to re-wind and it has no power to cut weedy grasses. I had to use it when my gas trimmer died and it was a pain. Couldn't even finish the yard with four batteries.

This trimmer works well for light grass but has a hard time with Saint Augustine due to the stolons and thick blades. It works but it takes a lot of time to cut through.

I've had one of these for many years. Still using the original batteries. It works great. Off-brand spools are pretty cheap and work as well as the original Worx brand.
