Still overheats. It is fine if you are moving (bike, outside of motorcycle or car, etc) or have good airflow (windy day, ac vent inside car, etc). You can use a lower resolution setting 4k30 runs fine in most use cases up to an hour. Other brands have the similar issue so it is a packaging and processing heat issue with the small form factor. The Hero 13 has a heat sink on the front now but it doesn't seem (early days) to help that much.

Went to the store but it was out of stock a few days ago as the employee says. It was showing on the inventory wheh I checked from the app but in reality there were none (even asked to the store manager)

App shows low stock or OOS from San Jose to Fresno. Tried my luck at the north Fresno Costco because it said low stock. Rep called the back to get a stock update and was told they've been sold out.

I wouldn't trust app saying low stock right now. Save your time and gas.. Were too deep into the Slickdeal effect

Thanks for the info. Sounds like most of the heat issues people have is when the cam is stationary I wonder if the heatsinks on the 13 will really help.

Have you noticed any difference if you bump the quality down a little?

Yeah it is a noticeable difference going from 5K60P to 4K60P. 4K60P still looks amazing though. I have been using the GP11 since it came out. I haven't done any firmware updates. I do have wifi/gps and all that other stuff turned off.
