I did a bunch of research between this TV and the Costco 100U70N w/ ext warranty plus mounting for $2199. The only differences I saw was the U8 is a miniLED panel rather than a QLED and has over 1000 local dimming panels rather than 270ish with the U70N. I also believe it's a little more energy efficient at 350w vs 500w. Ultimately I chose the Costco deal because the price was just too attractive with the perks. It gets delivered on Thursday.

Not sure you made the right decision here. Miniled vs qled is night and day difference especially for hdr. Extended warranty is another story..

I have the 85" u8k. Its an amazing tv. Not quite as inky blacks as an OLED but holy hell is it bright.

They use a third party I'm sure. Last time I had one delivered it was Pilot freight and it was white glove.

We have a (smaller) X93L and a A80CL in other rooms in the house. The A80 is an OLED and obviously you shouldn't compare oled and mini led as they are different. The X93 was worth the extra cost compared to the U8. Image is better (as it should be for the price), UI is better/faster. I think the X90 is about the same price as the U8. I would get an X90.

We probably would be happier with the U8 if we didn't also have a X93L though.

Picked this up at 3300 from Best Buy a few months ago; absolutely love it in a dedicated theater room. At 2800 this is an absolute Slickdeal.

The nice thing about getting it from Best Buy when it's $3000 is they offer free mounting. I purchased this model from Amazon when it first came out, and it's an absolute bear to get out and mount. I unfortunately had to return the tv because it was bent/defective and they didn't have additional inventory at the time.

I bought the 2022or 2023 model. we LOVE IT. we watched all in the family and could see where Carol O'Connor(Archie) missed some spots shaving his face.


but but but. the TV display occasionally does crazy things like turns on all black...or all black but small picture at the same time. has been doing this every 2 months for 5 months--something like that.
we turn the tv off , then on, and its normal.

buy it but get all warranties!
