From what I can see with a quick search the Kobalt 80V battery and charger is sourced from the same place as the Greenworks 80V system and are interchangeable or can easily be made interchangeable.

The Greenworks 80V blower that has been on SD a few times does have better specs and would be a better buy IMO.

I have both this 80V blower and trimmer
Blower is fantastic and still going strong
Somehow the trimmer's string head got messed up and can't find a replacement but it served me really well for at least 6 years

liked the 8)v set up so much have a spare battery as well

Pretty good deal. The 80v Kobalt line has been rock solid for me. Picked up most of the pieces when Lowe's B&M were clearing them out for cheap. Important to store the batteries in room temp to preserve its life. Extreme temps degrade it faster.

Amazon has a ton of off brand 4.5 star rated blowers with 2 batteries for around $70.

I have the chainsaw, 3 batteries, a fast charger and standard charger. Batteries are of different sizes. It works great. I have a gas backup I've never needed. I also have the blower and a snow shovel. They all work great. Sorry the B&M stores no longer keep them.

My 40v Kobalt blower is having issues after many years of service. I bought the ego 56V 5.0Ah blower a few weeks ago and it was sent shipped yesterday. Is this a better buy? I could still return the ego. Someone above posted the batteries are interchangeable with greenworks, so that sounds nice.

Tools are good, batteries fail way too quickly. My Snapper 82v batteries are 3 times as old and still going and hold charge well. All Kobalt batteries failed.

I've had the same experience with Kobalt in both 40V and 80V varieties. My Ryobi batteries have lasted MUCH longer.
