Don't forget to cancel right after you sign up, after the email. It will prevent you from auto renewing.

I went to cancel it to try to redeem this deal and before it finalized the cancellation, it automatically let me redeem 50% off next year. So next year will be $30.

I signed up for plus with showtime using an Amex card and got notifications on both the $3 and $12.99 offer. If you search the various cashback sites, especially a TOP one, it looks like you can get an additional $9 back.

I used the online chat function to ask for this discount to be applied to my account. (I was on the Monthly plan which had just renewed 2 days ago.)

The agent canceled my account for me, gave a full refund of my monthly fee, and I was able to immediately take advantage of the yearly offer.

Never hurts to ask!

Has anyone tried to just do the $30 plan first and get the $13 credit, and then a few days later upgrade to ad free for another $30 to get another $13?
I was about to ask the same thing.
After reading the Amex T&C (see below), it seems to me that your proposed plan of action would lead to receiving the $13 Amex credit twice.
I've personally noticed that Amex is more forgiving with their offers. For example, when an offer is tied to spending X dollars, the X amount is post-tax, unlike other credit card offers I've experienced.
Btw, I received the $12.99 Amex credit on the same day that I purchased the basic $30 plan.

Eligibility and Enrollment
Enrollment is limited. Eligible Card Members must first add offer to Card and then use same Card for qualifying spend. Only US-issued American Express® Cards are eligible.

Limit of 3 statement credits (total of $38.97 back) per eligible Card Member. If the Card Account is canceled or past due, it may not qualify to receive the statement credits.

Qualifying Purchases
Offer valid online at US website paramountplus.com or through the Paramount+ app only. Excludes purchases made through international versions of the website or mobile app, gift cards purchased in-store, and Paramount+ added on to SHOWTIME subscription. Purchases may not qualify if not billed directly by the merchant. For example, if you purchased your subscription through a third party device/digital platform, you may get billed by the party you signed up with, and not directly by the merchant. Please note if you purchase a subscription, unless you notify the merchant that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that the merchant will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card the merchant has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law. If you receive a free trial, charges may not post to your account until the trial has lapsed. Charges must post to your account before 3/3/2025 in order to qualify. Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.

Offer only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant. Offer not valid on purchases made using third parties, such as resellers, delivery services, or other intermediaries.

Statement Credit
Please allow 90-days after 3/3/2025 for the statement credit(s) to be posted to the Account, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.

Had paramount for over 5 years. Started it just to watch Die Hard on Christmas. You know, it's not Christmas until Frank Gruber flies off the roof. Recently started watching "The life of Pi". Watched half of it, left the rest for the next day. And it was gone. Had to go to support who told me after holding me up for 20 min, that it was cancelled.
I cancelled it, I have no need for low quality library with limited content that I never use.
Hans Gruber.

& who said he's a terrorist?

that's an old code for last month.
People in the thread still saying it works. If you already used it okay. But some people still haven't and a free month is better than $5 per month for the Showtime plan

Ads kill the deal for Paramount+ Essential. Hard to watch shows when they jam pack tv shows with 4+ ads that are more than 2 minutes long each.

Oh, I see what you're saying. In my Account, I see my Discount = "50% off for 1 Year". But when I try to actually "Upgrade", I only see the $119.99 price (i.e., doesn't seem to reflect the 50% discount).

I've lost track how long our free for life account has been, at least over two years now lol. Have you tried Yellowstone and the spinoffs yet? Crazy how under the radar that show seems to be and we're waiting for November to finish the last season. It's all good.

Interesting Data Point: If you happened to have both the $12.99 Pararmount+ Amex Offer AND the $3 off of $30 Streaming Offer (valid 3X) on your Amex card and get Pararmount+ w/ Showtime annual for $59.99, you will get $12.99 and $6.00 back from Amex. Sales Tax puts the charge offer $60, and that triggered two of the $3 streaming offer.
