Great price, gimped 4090 in this still crushes. Prettiest Screen on a laptop I've seen.

Great deal on a dream machine.

The 4090 mobile is power limited here however it still provides *better energy efficiency* than 4080 mobile. And the price is right. Although Best Buy says it's marked down from $2849 it was actually introduced this year at $3299.

I returned a 4070 model. The thin chassis and limited cooling makes it a hot potato to use. Even connected to external monitor and keyboard, the fan noise, heat, and especially the utility is questionable over a full fat gaming laptop or desktop. I always worried about longevity, and you can seriously feel the metal chassis burning up, even though my temps were technically safe and normal. The 4090/4080 have a better vapor chamber design, but it's only slightly better. They add an extra 10w of TGP so ultimately everything still gets quite toasty. And the score is a paltry 15-16k with a 4090 at the highest fan profile.

If you seriously want to play games on this exclusively on the go then it's an option. But don't get suckered into thinking you aren't making a ton of sacrifices. I think ultimately I honestly didn't trust it would last for more than a year, especially with Asus warranty track record. Heat kills components fast. Seriously wish Asus made a tamed down OLED model of their Strix line that didn't look like gamer barf.
