It can accept that and if you have a Type-C monitor supporting that much of Power output, you can have single cable operation

Overkill. No real advantage over a basic Intel box for half the price, since the games run in the cloud.

760M is nice, you can play diablo4 at 1080p low quality, close to 1060. zen4 is a good choice in 2024, many intel cpu wouldn't provide silimar integrated graphics like this.

Dumb question 2, can I play Helldivers on this thing? New patch on the 17th and I'll be traveling. Laptop is 15 years old and overheats when playing Minesweeper.

Thinking about this for a home assistant / Plex server - curious about hardware transcode (probably need to look it up) and idle power usage.

My minisforum EM680 just decided that it's wifi, bluetooth, and audio would stop working. It's only a year old.

How is minisforum support?

I'm thinking about buying this to replace it but I really like the USB 4 one wire solution the EM680 has.

I'm looking to upgrade from a GigaByte Bri5h-8250(16GB/1TB) that seems to stutter too much during visual studio code, docker stuff.

Will this be a decent upgrade? Especially the fan noise.

From that, it will be a pretty big jump.

All,

I'm looking at this desktop vs this one and my overall question, as I know next to nothing about computer specs, is whether this will be good for: (1) my son's school work (elementary) and (2) basic gopro editing. Would this computer be sufficient?

No gaming or anything else.
Yes, more than good enough for both use cases.

What game streaming service do 4k 120?
GeForce NOW Ultimate, AFIAK. But my person use case is Sunshine/Moonlight streaming from my (upstairs) office PC to my (downstairs) living room TV.

external GPU support?
I'm curious too. I see USB 4.0, which implies it would accept eGPUs. I've been super curious to try this setup outside of my laptop, so I can't speak firsthand.

GeForce Now runs on my 6 (7?) year old Chromebook. Plugged in a keyboard, mouse and monitor, and have an ethernet plugged into the USB 2.0 port. Works great!

You download the microsoft media tool and create a usb stick and do it. It never asks for a license because the license is in the cpu.

How do you know it's not a clean install already.

Like others, I'm interested in video and photo editing (up to 4k drone footage in my case) and have been looking at used M1 Mac Minis for about the same price. How do you think the systems compare? Do you think this would handle DaVinci Resolve and 4k video if the RAM were upgraded?
