The only caveat is that until we know the resolution of said fiasco, the upgrade path is uncertain.
Will there ever be another LGA1700 compatible cpu without issues?
Will they need to change the socket to avoid the issues in the next gen?
I don't know. I also am not familiar enough to know whether there already is another compatible generation without issues. (And I'm too lazy to google it. Fact check me if you like)
