I have both the non-Matter (with Energy Monitoring) and Matter supported versions (the one in this listing), and both are great. I have been switching over from Kasa (which I also love) since Tapo seems to be the brand TP-Link might be gravitating towards. The Tapo app is a bit more full featured and also allows control over all the Kasa devices as well (Kasa app does not allow Tapo control).

I would recommend the Tapo with energy monitoring over the Matter without the energy monitoring, if you care about seeing how your device is drawing power. That aspect has been a game changer for me. Otherwise get the Matter version in this listing if you don't care about energy monitoring.

That link presented the $5 off coupon, bring the price from $28 to $23 for a four-pack: "TP-Link Tapo Wi-Fi Smart Plug, Energy Monitoring, Compatible with Alexa & Google Home & Samsung SmartThings, Timer, 15A/1800W Max, ETL Certified, 2.4G Wi-Fi Only, Tapo P115(4-Pack)"

Slightly wider than the OP's model at 2.6" vs 2.4".

You say that the energy monitoring has been a game changer for you, do you mind explaining how?

Doing a quick search, I noticed immediately that B&H is selling a two-pack for $12 [bhphotovideo.com]? Am I mistaken that these are the same plugs, or is that not a better deal on a per-unit cost basis?

It is the same P125M plug, but you are mistaken that this is a pack of two. It is one.Two for $23.98.

I don't see the 25% off or cashback for Amazon card holders. I see the normal 5% cashback.

Edit: I see it now. It's buried in the additional section. Thanks op
