I hope everyone here understands this fact. The center of the watch, the part that is in between the face and back... is plastic. I have the galaxy watch 6 classic. It's all metal and is durable. I work on cars and houses and use heavy equipment often... the protruding PLASTIC around the buttons makes me believe in the very near future, we will see people that have that part broken off and the watch will need complete replacement. This is what I felt when I held the watch... I did not keep it and I returned it because of this. There will be people that are indifferent on plastic or metal, to me the plastic is not only unappealing. But I think it will makes the watch less durable. I have smacked my watch on door jams and equipment just walking by. I do not think the plastic will hold up if you are rough or careless. I like to wear my watch without having to be careful. I do not want to worry about my watch falling apart or breaking. The watch is large enough that any case is too much. My G6 classic has no case, just a bezel cover and screen protector. With the ultra, I feel like I'd want a case for it as well but that would make the thing a monstrosity if you don't consider it one already.

My phone, I use a metal case with screws that hold it together enclosed with a silicone lining. It's the only kind of case I will use at this point.

I bought the G7 ultra on pre-order. I returned it because I didn't like the plastic aspect. I didn't give it a chance frankly because I was worried. If people in the future don't have issues, I might consider.

I wish there was a Jrig everything for watches so I could at least have some idea of how it compares to my G6 classic. At this point it's no longer speculation but... before pre-order everyone thought it was all titanium. If you look at the white version, the part that is white in the middle is the plastic I'm referring to. It's clear now but many many many people talked about it was anodized or this or that... but the verdict is in. It's plastic. The face plate and back plate are titanium. Just know that before you buy. I'm sure that aspect people will be ok with but personally I find it misleading and was extremely disappointed.
This won't last then 2 days period. I have it, I love all the features and stats on the health side, but I wanted to share the only big drawback
Garmin watches are fitness trackers and the best on the market for it. If you're an athlete looking for a device to evaluate performance, Garmin is much superior to this. If you're looking for a smartwatch, I think this one is a much better smartwatch.

Just a heads up to everyone - the advertised measurements on this watch are misleading because they don't count the bezel or the sensor assembly protruding from the bottom, just the main watch body when measuring the depth.

This thing is nearly 2cm thick when measured in real world measurements.

Samsung wants $50-$75+ for their bands on their website.
Amazon has some specific 7 Ultra bands, quality looking ones for +$18 and up.

For my 6 Classic, I have a Samsung Velcro ratchet type strap.
While it's nice, when I run, it gets all wet and holds sweat.
That's why I like the silicon bands.

I like silicon too, I like the way peakform feels, silicon on inside but looks nice with the pattern on the outside.. I am hoping Samsung will either give me some money back or sends a new band.

Edit, they offered me an $18 refund :/ not great, but better than nothing.

I have the galaxy watch 5 40mm gold edition, which comes with a white rubber strap, instead of holding sweat in it it traps sweat In between it and your skin causing irritation.

Garmin watches are glorified fitness trackers. No comparison to this one.

Pretty much the same as the intro deal, just no free 2nd band. Still a decent offering.
