They are spiteful and don't want to pay the company that owns the patent so they turned off the feature. Remember if it doesn't make money for them, they don't want it.

Still works and is good. Problem is Apple has stopped upgrades for WatchOS from Sept 13.
I will probably keep using it. It has cellular so it is great for when I don't carry a phone. I only pay $5/mth from my carrier for the cell connection.

From prior experience, I will never buy an aluminum watch. It gets scratched & dented easily plus the glass will crack if you drop it. I hate putting a cover over it - makes it looks ugly on your wrist. I have dropped mine mutliple times and it is good.

If you can't find your watch in the trade-in calculator try putting in less info.
I entered brand, family, and color and my watch wasn't in the selection that came up.
But when I just put brand and family I got a much longer list of choices and my watch was in there.
You'll even have filter options to refine the larger list after it shows up.

True, but if you're a healthy person, you don't need blood ox. It's always about the same as it was the last time and there's really nothing you can do with the information.
