If anyone didn't know, empty foaming hand soap bottles can be refilled with regular soap (I use bronners) diluted 1:1 or even thinner with water. Costs less, and doesn't make another chunk of plastic garbage.

Bonus w bronners, it doesn't congeal in the cap like undiluted will if you leave a bottle around.

Yea that's what I do. I use Mrs meyers. I diluted more like 1:3 or 1:4. lol. Lots of talk on Reddit about bacterial buildup tho , not sure how true that is

🤷lol ah Reddit. I'll take my chances, if the bacterial buildup on my soap dispenser is what takes me down, Lord knows it was my time to go. 👻 Wait till they hear I don't sanitize my dish sponge between each use! 🦠😱🦠

The glycerin or other thickener in the liquid hand soap may leave residue and clog the pump mechanism. As someone who used to work in the industry, that's probably the biggest risk that I see, but if it works and doesn't clog, then there's no problem!

Same deal on 'Sea Minerals' and potentially other scents too. I usually get the refill but this is cheaper per oz this time and the pump bottles don't last forever so it's good to have some backups.

I've been refilling the same 4 cheap Dial foaming soap dispensers since 2016 with a 1:4 ratio of hand soap and none have clogged yet.

I also wash them off after refilling because they do end up with dirt or mildew or something on them, so I don't think there is any bacteria build up problem to worry about either.

I add some hand sanitizer or isopropyl to the thinned soap to prevent bacteria. Before I did this the soap might smell strange after a period of time. The only down side is having the soap be a bit harsher on your skin than it would have been otherwise.

Great price for a fantastic hand soap. It's especially good with 15% S&S and the $4.60 credit. Thanks OP!

Is it possible to use distilled water? That way bacteria shouldn't build up. Also do you have to shake it every time before pumping?

I've used Dawn dish soap diluted for years. I've never had any issues, and one bottle of Dawn makes so many bottles of hand soap. It's superior in almost every way.

Any way to tell, after purchase, if you have the 4.60 credit pending, other than waiting 30 days?
